Created with the intent of making highly specialized training in tourism available in Piedmont, on May 23 the Foundation "ITS tourism and cultural activities" officially started business.
To guarantee the strategic operation range, amongst the founders, you can find an extensive list of subjects of primary importance in the area: colleges, businesses, educational institutions, representative associations, local authorities, universities and research centers (click here for the full list).
"Tourism has become, even in our region, an economic lever that significantly contributes to the GDP of the territory," said the President of the Foundation, Maria Luisa Coppa. "We have seized the opportunities that Piedmont, together with the Ministry of Education have offered us, in order to enhance the enriching territory of ITS Foundation, which may be an opportunity for advanced training and work for motivated young people and can constitute an added value for local companies. "
To support the President in the challenging start-up work, the Foundation has set up an Executive Committee, an Advisory Board and a Scientific and Technical Committee.
"It’s a challenging teamwork", concludes Maria Luisa Coppa, "which will carry out in the near future, together with public institutions, educational institutions and University of Piedmont, associative representation systems and enterprises in the sector."
